Commonwealth Authorised Celebrants at the MELBOURNE MARRIAGE REGISTRY – VICTORIA
If you are a same-sex couple or LGBTQIA+ couple planning a registry-style wedding, elopement or legal marriage ceremony in Melbourne, our experienced team can guide you through the entire process from start to finish.
The first step is to lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) through Pride Registry Weddings, Melbourne Marriage Registry or Marriage Victoria with one of our experienced Commonwealth-registered marriage celebrants.
Under Australian law, your NOIM must be lodged at least one month before your wedding date and can be lodged up to 18 months in advance. Once your NOIM has been lodged, you can secure your ceremony date and begin planning your wedding.
Many couples choose to celebrate their marriage in the award-winning ceremony rooms of the Victorian Marriage Hub in South Yarra, while others choose an intimate elopement or location wedding elsewhere in Victoria.
Simply call or email our team to arrange an appointment. We will guide you through the paperwork, explain the legal requirements and answer any questions you may have.
If you already have a completed NOIM form, you can send it to us before your appointment to help speed up the process.
Once your NOIM has been legally lodged, you may be married from one month later, subject to celebrant and ceremony availability.
